We, The Hopeful

Writing the future of 2050 together

The story of 2050 is being written today. While scientists have a clear vision of the future, their message doesn't always reach everyone. That’s why we started We, The Hopeful. This is a movement of concerned citizens aiming to translate the hard facts of climate science into powerful stories that inspire action.

Louise’s Life in 2050 is We, the Hopeful’s first project. It tells the story of Louise, a fictional character living in 2050. The film highlights the impact of our present-day decisions and it shows what’s possible if we act now. Above all, it brings a hopeful vision of the future.

The creative initiative spread like wildfire. Over 42.000 people have watched it for more than 14 days total watch time, the original LinkedIn post was shared more than 500 times, and it has generated over 100.000 impressions organically (no paid ads). Its hopeful message also led to several climate influencers, policymakers, and prominent media outlets – including LN24, RTBF, MM, and RMB – sharing the story. Additionally, colleges and universities are now using it in their classes to inspire the next generation.

Together, we can build the most hopeful version of 2050. For more information, visit www.wethehopeful.org.
